Content Warning is the latest title by Landfall, available on Steam for 7,79€.
It is a survival co-op video game. Your objective is to collect scary video footage from the Old City and then upload it on Spööktube to become viral and make money.
You play as one of the four characters dressed in diver suits with ASCII customizable faces.
To customize your face open notepad Windows or whatever note app or program you want to use.
Write the characters you want to use as your face, copy it from your notepad, then go to the game, find the place where you customize your face (Press E to engage) and click on the button that says Paste. Your face is now pasted!
You must purchase gear but initially, you start with zero. The game however provides you with a video camera and flashlights for free.
You are now good to go down the depths of the Old World, where you must capture scary monsters or cursed items on camera.
At the end of each day you earn some dollars. This will help you purchase more equipment from the e-shop screen in the garden.
You have 3 days, each time, to dive down and record the scariest creatures or items.
Things to pay attention to
You must pay attention to your oxygen, as well as, your camera’s capacity and your flashlight’s battery.
Be mindful of how you use your equipment.
Don’t forget your friends as all of you need to make it up to the surface.
Well, you don’t NEED to and actually if you manage to get on camera one of your friends being captured by a creature, that will guarantee you more views.
Once the run is complete, you get to upload your content on Youtu… eer sorry, I mean Spööktube and hope that your videos will get enough views to make you profitable.
Content Warning is a favourite among content creators and streamers
At the time of writing this article, the Content Warning category has 18.1k viewers on Twitch and 937 on Kick.
The title was released on April 1st on Steam and was free for the first 24 hours. During that time more than 6 million people have gotten the game, according to an announcement made by the company on their Steam page.
They also acknowledged the issues and bugs and that the team is working on them. However, since it is a small team of merely 5 developers, it might take some time to fix them all.
Who is Landfall?
Landfall is a Swedish company behind games like Totally Accurate Battle Simulator, Cluster Truck, Totally Accurate Battlegrounds, Rounds, Knight Fall A Daring Journey and Stick Fight.
I have played Stick Fight and had great laughs numerous times, together with my son.
It’s obvious they focus a lot on physics-related video games, which are bound to give many laughs.
